Description

The Jet Spud is one of the smallest and sweetest decks for an electric longboard not just because of it’s relative long wheel base which helps fitting a proper sized electronic box underneath but because the riding experience is unreal, those foot pockets are pretty wide so riding it feels stable and safe.

The DS stands for Double Stacked cells, that means 2 layers of cells, one over the other.

The enclosure features an integrated cover for the ESC wires so the finish of the final deck looks professional.

If you are looking for a monster vehicle with an insane big battery, this is the enclosure for you. You could fit a double stacked cell array of 18650s batteries for a whooping 12S6P, yeah that’s crazy, but so are you if you’re still reading this.

You could also get creative an fit an even larger battery as there is plenty of space available, just don’t forget the appointment with your shrink.

We suggest you upgrade to bigger wheels and add risers to have more clearance, even though it’s not that bad with 90mm

Important note:

The Jet Spud 29″ had originally two wheelbase positions one for shorter wheels base, one for longer, my enclosures have been designed to fit the longer wheelbase in order to make more room for electronics and batteries.

In the second half of 2018 a new batch of Jet Spuds 29″ decks came out, this deck didn’t have two wheelbase positions in the tail as all previouses batches, just one, the shorter one.

If you got this deck all you need to do is to drill new holes for the baseplate following the next procedure:

  1. Install the front trucks but not the rear
  2. Position the enclosure right on the back of the front truck base plate
  3. Position the rear truck baseplate only (no hanger) right after the enclosure and secure it momentarily with double sided tape
  4. Drill 4 5mm holes with a 5mm drill bit using the baseplate as guide
  5. Remove the base plate and double sided tape and install the rear truck
  6. Enjoy your Spud enclosure

This procedure is easier than installing the enclosure holding bolts and inserts which procedure can be found here
